ANXIETY IS THE DIZZINESS OF FREEDOM

LIGHTING DESIGNER

Anxiety is the Dizziness of Freedom is an adaptation of a short story by master speculative fiction writer Ted Chiang, a story about a reality in which people can communicate with their para selves through a technology called PRISM. It follows the intersecting lives of NAT, who works at a PRISM rental, and DANA, a therapist, and how PRISM affects their choices and those around them. The production will activate and utilize the complete text, casting an ensemble to narrate and play all the characters in the story. It will also employ movement sequences to illuminate the science portions of the text.
